The 2020 Delaware Park meet will begin later and end later than the 2019 session.
The Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission Jan. 22 approved the track’s request for an 85-day meet that will run from May 27-Oct. 31, the Saturday before the Breeders’ Cup World Championship.
Delaware Park will offer live racing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the meet, with Thursdays added from June 18-Oct. 8. First post time is 1:15 p.m.
The track’s marquee event, the Grade II Delaware Handicap, is scheduled for July 11 along with five stakes that are part of the MATCH Series. The Grade III Delaware Oaks is set for the previous Saturday, July 4.
