ARCI updates Uniform Classification Guidelines model rule

Posted: Jan. 8, 2019

In an ongoing effort to provide best practices for the regulation of racing and wagering, the Association of Racing Commissioners International reviews and updates its racing regulatory standards on a regular basis.

The ARCI Board of Directors has added a number of new substances with recommended penalties to the Uniform Classification Guidelines for Foreign Substances and Recommended Penalties Model Rule, and has updated the Endogenous, Dietary, or Environmental Substances Schedule.

ARCI appreciates the work of the Racing Medication and Testing Consortium in analyzing substances and making recommendations as to appropriate penalties. Those recommendations were reviewed by various ARCI committees and advisers and were adopted at the December meeting of the ARCI Board of Directors.

The two documents are available below as well as through other links on this website.
