The New York Racing Association Nov. 26 announced the calendar and stakes schedule for the 59-day Aqueduct Racetrack winter meet that runs from Dec. 12, 2019-March 29, 2020.
There will be 12 winter-meet dates in December, 17 in January, another 17 in February, and 13 in March.
In December, there will be four three-day weeks: Dec. 12-15, Dec. 19-22 and Dec. 28-31. The final week will have racing on a Saturday-through-Tuesday schedule rather than Thursday through Sunday.
In January, racing is set for Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the most part. New Year’s Day, a Wednesday, replaces Jan. 2, and Martin Luther King Day, Jan. 20, replaces Jan. 16 on the calendar.
Racing will be offered on a Thursday-through-Sunday schedule in February with the exception of President’s Day, Feb. 17. In March, Aqueduct reverts to racing three days a week: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
