Nominations for the 2020 Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards sponsored by Godolphin are open at www.tiea.org. Nominations close Aug. 14.
We hope TIEA will be a bright spot in what has been an unprecedented year for all Americans, including our industry. Despite the loss of race days, changes to sales calendars and more, many dedicated farm and racetrack workers have continued to show up every morning to take care of their horses and other responsibilities to our industry. This is the steadfast commitment and passion we want to recognize through TIEA.
The Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association recently has had two TIEA winners, along with several nominations. If you know of someone deserving of recognition for their dedication to our industry, please nominate them now at www.tiea.org.
We know you also have incomparable knowledge of the backstretch at your tracks due to your responsibilities with the THA. Please use your position to spread this message to trainers, barn managers, and any employers in our industry who have the privilege of having a dedicated, reliable staff.
There are seven award categories, with three finalists recognized in each category and prize money totaling $128,000. While many things are different this year, we know now more than ever the importance of recognizing and rewarding individuals who work tirelessly in our industry.
