The Racing Officials Accreditation Program has hired Jade Eisenzimmer as its full-time coordinator to oversee daily management of ROAP educational programs, coordination of the ROAP board and standing committee organization and meetings, and regular communications with racing officials, stewards, and judges.
Eisenzimmer is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program with previous studies in equine science from North Dakota State and information technology from Minnesota State Community and Technical College. While attending the University of Arizona, she interned with Canterbury Park, Breeders’ Cup, and Rillito Park.
Most recently, Eisenzimmer worked for Taylor Made Sales, and prior to attending the University of Arizona worked as a royalties analyst for Archway Marketing Services at Microsoft.
“Jade brings an excellent background in both horse racing and information technology to ROAP, both of which will give her a leg up on coordinating the daily activities and communicating with racing officials, tracks, commissions, and our board member organizations,” ROAP Board of Directors Chair Dan Fick said.
Eisenzimmer is based at The Jockey Club offices in Lexington, Ky. Cathy O’Meara will continue to work with ROAP as ROAP manager in addition to her role as Manager of Industry Initiatives at The Jockey Club.
ROAP recently entered into an agreement with the National Thoroughbred Racing Association that will allow horseracing officials that have participated in ROAP schools, certificate courses, and continuing education sessions to be eligible for member benefits from the NTRA Advantage Program. NTRA Advantage facilitates the sale of products and services to more than one million eligible equine industry participants at prices well below market rate.
