The Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association endeavors to help any backstretch employee facing difficulties due to the onset of COVID-19.

Thanks to a generous donation from Glenn Bennett and Chuck Zacney of Cash is King LLC and LC Racing LLC, the PTHA Charities Relief Fund was created to combat the impacts of the virus for our members. Any PTHA stable employee who has been affected or is unable to work due to COVID-19 can request aid through the PTHA office at Parx Racing. Relief aid will generally be in the form of gift cards that can be used in grocery stores, pharmacies, etc.

To request aid from the PTHA Charities Relief Fund, please contact Connie Youmans in the PTHA office to inquire about eligibility verification. The office number is 215-638-2012.

“Having good things come together when bad things happen—we just wanted to be there for our community, said trainer John Servis, a member of the PTHA Board of Directors.
